Burmese govt vows action against drug traffickers

Burma’s government has pledged to take strong action against drug producers and traffickers across the country.

The 'plug in' seems to have been upgraded.

At a glance it seems like this version has features that were absent from the first.

Johnny Htoo working with KNU

While perusing the news from home at I noticed in the article about a possible summit between armed groups that leading the talks was

POPE DIES! Beatification awaits approval of new Pope.

Canonization is probably not far off for Hey Seuss certainly the most saintly of popes in the past few centuries.

Another (perfect?) Day

Junk, and when it runs out

Junk in the time of covid

I haven't heard so many junkies talk about quitting in years. There's no surer sign of low quality than hearing such utterances daily.

For me, it's a perfectly normal day if I used three times, each from a different dealer. I cycle through them, convincing myself that their last shite packet was just bad luck.  The other day, I say young T, who has the same crud (low quality) every day, but he delivers, and he delivers on credit until my payday. Getting tick (credit) is often in exchange for quality or some other aspect of the deal.

RIP sayarsan

So I received an SMS last night saying sayarsan had died. Not confirmed yet, but then again, no-one is denying it either. With his death the last contributor to this site has gone. Apart from my good self that is.
Sorry to see you go pedro. The world was confusing and painful for you, I hope wherever you are, if you persist in any form, that it's less of that and more of the stuff that makes you think of future days.

Census Night was a Serious Disappointment

On the TH of August I was about to do duty when I realized that I had lost track of the letter with the log in number. I kept my head thinking "why panic? in earlier days I would have been just as likely to decide not to fill it in coz they wanted personal information like my name address and signature".

Maintenance Mode

Drupal has a nasty habit of getting stuck in Maintenance Mode - it just took me an hour to unstick it. If you notice Maint Mode for more than an hour, please write or contact me somehow, and I will endeavour to fix. Apologies to our new member.

Size doesn't matter

I am not sure exactly what prompted me to write this article. Perhaps Bek's recent death, which was so closely allied to the concept of inability to measure small amounts of fentanyl. But regardless of recent deaths, in an industry that is centred around the concept of weights and measures, in my using life I have had innumerable discussions with others around the idea of 'size'. I'd like to outlay the two major conclusions I have come to over the last 25 years of buying gear.

1. Size does not matter.

Time to start tracking my usage again.

It was New Year's Eve that I indulged at a social gathering of neighbours, that is I ate some party food and had a glass of beer. I had an enjoyable time of it but tired quickly and by 9pm I was ready to quit and came home to bed where i spent a few hours drifting in an out of sleep but not really sick, I didn't vomit but was queasy enough to shy away from any biodone and didn't look at my 100mg bottle of maintenance dose.

A cause for hope in the new year?

The article in the news about the promise by Canada's Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau to legalize cannabis is not much for average Australians to get excited about but should give some joy to the marijuana activists. Being a large country next door to the USA and a member of NATO draws attention to the growing trend to roll back prohibition of this popular intoxicant.

It's that time of the month....

when the legalities of treatment for opiate addiction demand that I provide a script (prescription) for either Methadone, Biodone, Subutext or Suboxone to cover me for the coming month. "So?" I hear myself ask. Well to be frank, as in the girl who kept a diary of her time in a cupboard during the Nazi occupation of her country, it has been so long since I made a blog entry that I feel it incumbent upon me to maintain continuity. This is a construct of my own subjective notions and have nothing to do with the nature of blogging or the wider Collective Intelligence.

Another day

I have been immersed in an obsessive/compulsive state focussed around a book about World War 1. Sleeping a few hours per day without any benzos and barely any cannabis which is good for my health provided I eat sufficiently and excercise routinely. If I am doing little more than lying in bed reading incessantly it doesn't feel like it's good for my health. It's not without reason however; a library loan I have to return the book in a month so I can't put it down for long for fear that I will not get the full dose of mindboggling accounts of the depths of human misery in all its forms.
