Thanks for the tip re Maintenance Mode tho I haven't encountered it yet.

One thing I am curious about is whether or not the WYSIWYG compositor has been changed in any way or whether it is my imagination.

Finally, I don't think we will be hearing much from our new member unless it is necessary in fact judging from his profile pic I think he might be deceased.

aaah, u know something about our new member eh?  Where did u see his profile pic?  Was he the 'test memebr' ' I asked you to create to check the process?

RE WYSIWYG, yes, it is more than possible that when i 'restored' it, the version i downloaded to inject had been 'enhance'  or improved.  Certainly the WYSIWYG plug-in is very configurable re presentation, colours, backgrounds etc...If i ever scheduled time to make thsi site look nice then I would be thinking how t oimplement presentation changes to this plug in to go with the overall site re-imagining (I know all the buzzwords).

Who the hell is John? You are correct, he is the test member and his profile pic comes from Google Images after I typed 'junkie' into the search bar. Perhaps I should have dug a little deeper, to find out something so he could be fleshed out but what the heck.

When I think about making the site look nice my mind wanders to blogsites like Wordpress and Google where there are a multitude of choices to personalise your blog, to the point where one could become paralysed by indecision. It reminds me of decorating my flat when I am hard pressed just avoiding the creation of a clutter which soon makes it impossible to find anything. This problem doesn't exist in prison or monastries/ Sangha and perhaps there is something to be learned from these 'limited choice lifestyles'. At this point I am grateful to the site load so I can log in.

Yes sorry for outages...teh annual hosting fee PLUS domain name regitsration (every two years) came around between pays, so until I scraped up $200 we were off air.

Speaking of John's, is J Baird in town? I imagine he left a msg on my mobile....

I haven't heard anything about John since he became an expat which is quite a few years now. I'm sure it would be good to catch up on the intervening period but as I am an infrequent visitor to facebook I probably won't hear of his presence until he has returned to his adopted home.
